| Charles and Diane Hofheimer have developed a law firm representing only women in divorce and custody matters throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Charlie is a lawyer and Diane is a child advocate and paralegal. Married for 37 years, they began working together as VISTA volunteers among the Eskimos of Alaska in 1965/67, and have been a team since then. They have three children, one who practices law with them, and one grandchild. Charlie is a graduate of Old Dominion University and Washington and Lee Law School, Diane is a graduate of Old Dominion University. Diane is currently the recipient-designate of the prestigious Mosaic Award of the Peace Awards presented by Virginians Against Domestic Violence. Diane is a former president and current board member of Prevent Child Abuse Hampton Roads and is one of the legal team featured in Garland Waller's award winning documentary "Small Justice." Charlie is currently a member of numerous professional organizations and is admitted to practice in all Virginia Courts as well as the US Supreme Court and other Federal courts. Presently, Charlie is the Chair of the Family Law Section of the Virginia Trial Lawyer's Association as well as a member of its' Board of Governors. He is a founding director of the Virginia College of Trial Advocacy and currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Hoffman I'Anson Inn of Court. Diane developed a passion to help protective mothers, which led to Charlie's involvement. They now handle a significant number of complex custody cases.
